We will be at Robson Ranch tomorrow (Friday) from 8 - 11 am and Saturday the Keller Farmers Market from 8 am - noon. The Sunday flower cart will be out from roughly 10:00 - 7:00 wind permitting (< 15 mph) on Sunday.

Repeat from last week on varieties: Zinnias, lisianthus, snapdragons, sunflowers, rudbeckia, celosia, pincushions, basil, dahlia, and gomphrena.

Available Starters / Seeds

Seeds: Cilantro, catnip, parsley, dill, morning glory, bells of Ireland, chamomile, bachelor’s button, love-in-a-mist (nigella), forget-me-nots, cosmos, dara (colored queen Anne’s lace), Mexican sunflowers, gomphrena, bee balm, celosia, cock’s comb, blue spice basil, purple hyacinth bean, hardy hibiscus, bupleurum, and marigold.

Starters: We have Coleus, Curly Parsley, Peppermint, apple mint, Rosemary, and Basil (Genovese, Globe, Lime).

BEARDED IRIS RHIZOMES are dug and ready for sale: Pink Opal, Silver Tower, Orange Pop, Men in Black, Shannopin, Mariposa Skies, Snoqualmie, Anembo, Goldilocks, First Interstate.

Farm Tasks for the Week

Dug some more gladiolus along with lily bulbs. I wait for the leaves to yellow before digging and dividing.

The newer zinnias got chopped. I’m assuming by the bunny. However, they are still growing so it looks like they interpreted it as being pinched.

Finished cardboard/mulching the “new” bearded iris / wildflower rows. Began digging up iris rhizomes for this year’s iris sales. Also began trimming the iris fans. In general, bearded iris are best divided and planted from late July to early October.

Chickens

Lost another hen to the heat. The baby chicks are still doing well. One is definitely a rooster that will need to find a new home.
