Thank you everyone who came out for our Annual Garden Tour last weekend. We so enjoyed having you over!
We will be at Robson Ranch tomorrow (Friday) from 9 - noon, Coppell Farmers Market, and the Keller Farmers Market Saturday from 8 - noon. The Sunday flower cart will be out from roughly 10:00 - 7:00 wind permitting (< 15 mph).
In bloom
Forget-Me-Nots came in strong this week while the Anemones are on their way out. We also have lots of peonies, roses, foxglove, clematis, Sweet peas, snapdragons, statice, bluebonnets, Icelandic Poppy, dianthus, phlox, Bells of Ireland, and columbine.
Available Starters / Seeds
Seeds: Cilantro, catnip, parsley, dill, morning glory, bells of Ireland, chamomile, bachelor’s button, love-in-a-mist (nigella), forget-me-nots, cosmos, dara (colored queen Anne’s lace), Mexican sunflowers, gomphrena, bee balm, celosia, cock’s comb, lime basil, blue spice basil, purple hyacinth bean, hardy hibiscus, bupleurum, and marigold.
Starters: We have tomatoes (Sweet 100, Early Bush, Abe Lincoln, Rutgers, Sweet Gardener, Sweetie, Black Cherry, and Celebration), Catnip, Cilantro, Curly Parsley, peppers, peppermint, apple mint, Rosemary, Lavender, Sage, Pink Yarrow, and Basil (Sweet, Genovese, and Globe).
Farm Tasks for the Week
Have not gotten much done after the garden tour. Enjoying the spring flowers as they are thriving after the last month of intense TLC, lol.
Lots more iris have started to bloom this week. I’ve been labeling them as they pop up.
Will need to address the fire ants that laughed at the dried molasses this year.
Chickens
Still enjoying the mulberries. No news is good news with the chickens. The dogs found a downed fledgling bluebird this morning. Luckily it was while Mom and I were heading up to harvest so were able to grab him and put him in the garden. He ran under the snapdragons out of sight which is impressive given his bright blue feathers. Eggs are still at spring pricing.

We have a large assortment of handmade pressed flower or quilled cards along with quilling kits. Been pressing some of the columbine which is such a lovely yellow even after pressing.
