Find us tomorrow (Friday 3/20) at Robson Ranch from 9 - noon and the Keller Farmers Market (Saturday 3/21) from 8 - noon. Flower cart was not put out last Sunday due to the extreme winds. Assuming normal breezes, we will have the flower cart out this Sunday from 10:30 - 6 pm.

We will be having our Annual Garden Tour of the farm Friday and Saturday April 10th and 11th from 2 - 6 pm. During the event, we will also be hosting the Keep Argyle Beautiful annual bearded iris contest. To enter, drop by with a cutting of your bearded iris either Friday or Saturday during the farm tour. Iris will be judged at 4 pm on Saturday. 1st prize for both youth and adult categories is your choice of any of our bearded iris rhizomes (to be picked up in the fall). In addition to the free tour and bearded iris contest, there will be jam tasting and a gift shop. Hope yall can make it!

In bloom

The anemones and ranunculus are starting to wane this week so get them while you can! This is the start of the snapdragon and bluebonnet bonanza. We also have some ornamental kale, Icelandic Poppy, dianthus, snowflakes, and statice.

Available Starters / Seeds

Seeds: Cilantro, catnip, parsley, dill, morning glory, bells of Ireland, chamomile, bachelor’s button, love-in-a-mist (nigella), forget-me-nots, cosmos, dara (colored queen Anne’s lace), Mexican sunflowers, gomphrena, bee balm, celosia, cock’s comb, lime basil, blue spice basil, purple hyacinth bean, hardy hibiscus, bupleurum, and marigold.

Starters: We have tomatoes (Sweet 100, Early Bush, Abe Lincoln, Rutgers, Sweet Gardener, Sweetie, Black Cherry, and Celebration), Catnip, Cilantro, Curly Parsley, peppers, peppermint, apple mint, and Red Yarrow ready to go. We will have rosemary, Lavender, Sage, and Pink Yarrow for sale later in the month.

Farm Tasks for the Week

Made it through the late spring freeze, yay!

Continuing spring cleanup with more oak leaf and acorn removal. Should be ready to mulch next week.

Preparing to begin the first bed flip for summer crops. We have lily bulbs on their way so will be getting everything ready.

Chickens

Chickens are clucking. We have plenty of eggs, so still at spring egg pricing.

We always have an ear for jam flavor suggestions. If there is something you love and can’t find, shoot us an email and we’ll see what we can do. The balsamic flavors will be back in late April. We have the following jams available:

Cards

We have a large assortment of handmade pressed flower or quilled cards along with quilling kits. This time of year has a lot of pansies, but the roses are starting to bloom!
