We will be at Robson Ranch tomorrow (Friday) from 9 - noon, Coppell Farmers Market Saturday from 8 - noon, and the Keller Farmers Market Saturday from 8 - noon. The Sunday flower cart will be out from roughly 10:00 - 7:00 wind permitting (< 15 mph).
In bloom
This is the absolute last week of lilies. Loved all the trial lilies which are throughout this week’s newsletter. This is also the last week for forget-me-nots, bachelor buttons, love-in-a-mist, and bupleurum. The phlox, gladiolus, and foxglove are on their way out soon too. Liatris, lemon bee balm, bells of Ireland, snapdragons, statice, dianthus, Shasta Daisy, Purple Coneflower, Yarrow, Carnation, larkspur, and verbena are stilling going strong. Wild bergmont, gloriosa lily, zinnias, celosia, and basil have joined this week. Looks like the dahlias will be ready to harvest next week.
Available Starters / Seeds
Seeds: Cilantro, catnip, parsley, dill, morning glory, bells of Ireland, chamomile, bachelor’s button, love-in-a-mist (nigella), forget-me-nots, cosmos, dara (colored queen Anne’s lace), Mexican sunflowers, gomphrena, bee balm, celosia, cock’s comb, blue spice basil, purple hyacinth bean, hardy hibiscus, bupleurum, and marigold.
Starters: Coleus is back! We also have Catnip, Curly Parsley, Peppermint, apple mint, Rosemary, Lavender, Sage, and Basil (Sweet, Genovese, Globe, Lime).
Farm Tasks for the Week
Collecting sweet pea seeds and removing the vines and support netting.
More weeding and watering this week as the heat is coming in.
Chickens
Chickens had a little reprieve and decided to lay this week. They pretty much do what they want when they want, lol. Had a couple of snake spottings this week. Both were in the dusk hours, and both were babies. Be careful out there!

We have a large assortment of handmade pressed flower or quilled cards along with quilling kits. Trying to stay on top of the pressing as there are so many good pressing flowers right now. We had some stunted sunflowers in the new bed that are the perfect size for pressing.
